If you’re anxious to send and receive some extra postcards, joining a round robin is a great way to get some extra postcards and meet some more people in the postcrossing community. Keep reading to learn how to join a Postcrossing Round Robin.

What are Postcrossing Round Robins?

Round robins are a type of game on the Postcrossing forum. Each round robin has its own group with a specific theme, and every participant send a postcard to everyone else in the group.

Most Round Robin groups have multiple mini-groups in order to keep the number of participants smaller.

For example, in the image of the Round Robin above you can see that there are multiple open groups. Each group is limited to five or six participants.

If all the mini groups are full, just check back later. The hosts regularly open up new spots.

How to Join a Postcrossing Round Robin?

  1. Log into postcrossing, then click the Forums link at the top of the page
  2. Find the Games and Activities section on the forum, then click “Round Robins”
The Round Robin section on the Postcrossing Forums

3. Browse the different available round robin groups and find one that you’re interested in.

Some groups have very specific themes such as ‘black and white postcards.’ Other groups are more open – there’s even a group where you close you eyes and pick a postcard at random.

4. Read the first post in the thread. Since each Round Robin works a little differently, you’ll want to read the rules and follow the instructions on how to join.

5. Post in the thread and let the moderator know you’d like to join. If the Round Robin has multiple groups remember to also mention the group number,

6. Send your postcards (and keep an eye out in your mailbox for the cards that other people sent you.)
